Something happened in Jita, must have been a very LARGE gank, maybe a freighter in a safe spot with a whole slew of packaged noob ships. Many people on threads on the forums think it was shuttles, but the size of a shuttle would mean several freighters. If you find out what happened, please do post it on the EVE forums or put a comment here, I am really curious
